The Weekend

This weekend was fun and relaxing. Sunday morning we went to the base chapel for the church service and spent the afternoon riding around with a friend who is looking for a place to live off base. We got to see some of the small town surrounding the base and see their character. Sunday night we went to some friends house for a poker game. It was our first time playing poker and we have a lot to learn. We are better at board games! We ate dinner at our friends house and then came to the hotel room and went to bed. Today(Monday)was a holiday here for the Americans so Justin was off. We slept in, went to the gym, and signed up for our cable and Internet service which will be hooked up in our house next week. We also rode downtown to the port to see if our car was there because a boat came in yesterday. We did not see our car, but there were a few containers that had not been unloaded and were sitting at the port. We are going to check back in a few days and if it isn't there hopefully it will be on the next boat that is coming in February. We tried out the Subway on base today(the only American restaurant here)and it tasted like the Subway we know. It has been a good weekend but we are ready to get in our own place that feels a little more permanent! We are definitely ready for our stuff we shipped so we can have a piece of home! We are ready for another week and looking forward to what is in store!
