Wednesday, July 14th was Lois' 56th birthday! No better place to celebrate than the island! The morning was lazy and the afternoon was spent at the pool. After soaking up some sun we dressed and went to dinner for Lois' birthday. We ate at La Barca in Praia. This was the first visit to this restaurant for all of us and it is now Lindsay's new favorite. Kayla had chicken while the rest of us enjoyed filet mignon. The best part was Lindsay's side dish which was pasta with a homemade "Mona Lisa" sauce. For dessert we devourered chocolate cake and also a crepe filled with chocolate ice cream and whipped topping. Along with dessert we were served a bottle of champagne, on the house, for Lois' birthday. After dinner we drove to Biscoitos for some scenic pictures along the water. We were able to take a few pictures but the sun set before we finished. Hopefully we will make it back out there! Once we got home Justin and Lindsay went to bed and the girls stayed up to watch Sex and the City. They had to catch up because we are going to see Sex in the City II Friday night! They went to bed at 2:30 AM! Today, July 15th the girls relaxed around, Justin went golfing, and Lindsay worked. Thursday night we went with some friends to a new place to eat called Os Monies. Now we are home and about to enjoy a game of Texas Hold 'Em at the house. Tomorrow is planned and looks like it will be fun!
